Brandy & Melville...

Some of you may already know of the high street store Brandy & Melville, but for me it's new. I stumbled across their recently opened store in Amsterdam whilst completing my Study Tour fashion project and fell in love with their clothing. Their look is very laid back and comfortable but with a preppy chic. In their stores you can find graphic tees, fine knits, waterfall skirts and currently a lot of USA flags.
All the clothes are made in Italy but the brand first opened in LA, where celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Audrina Partidge and Paris Hilton are all fans of the garments. The store in Amsterdam opened around the Christmas period and was the first to open in the Netherlands. I have recently found out that they also own a shop in Westfield Shopping Centre, London.. Which I intend on checking out very soon!

Vboutique...

I thought I would share with you all some images of my sister's new collection of vintage clothing on ASOS Marketplace. Vboutique was founded last year by my sister, Rosie, and her friend Amy, selling vintage style clothing at the age of 16. They started off selling their clothes at local vintage fairs and on a homemade website, but felt a desire to expand.
They applied to sell their clothes on ASOS marketplace last October and the business has been booming, with celebrities, such as the cast of Made In Chelsea, interested in the clothing. The girls are doing very well for themselves, juggling the business with schoolwork and studying for GCSE's! Their hopes for this year are to become a boutique. You can check out their collection by clicking here.

Style Crush: Lana Del Rey..

My 'girl crush' on Lana Del Rey just keeps on growing! I'm sure you'll agree that she looks sensational as is her new album. She rocks that vintage hollywood glamour look.
She has recently embraced the cover of Vogue as well as feature inside the magazine. Her album, 'Born To Die', is set to top the UK chart lists. The girl has it all going for her.
I am hoping to get started on some illustrations and art-work of Lana Del Rey and will post them on here when i have finished, so keep checking back!
I love this photo below of Lana Del Rey in an everyday outfit and, what seems to be, her favourite jacket by Ferrari.

Her new single, and my current 'most played' song, is 'Born To Die'. Give it a listen!

My 'Transformed' Neck Piece...

The pictures above are of a neck piece that I made the other week for my current project on my Art Foundation course. The project is called 'transformed fabrics' and we had to reconstruct new fabrics from old clothes. This neck piece was created from a jumper. I cut it up into strips and then twisted the strips into little sections and then waxed them all together. Hope you like it!
